Union Cemetery Association

We are pleased to learn that the Association is getting in funds to such an extent as to warrant the Directors in proceeding to fence the grounds.

The secretary informs us that he has recently received a contribution of two hundred dollars towards this object from one person, to be paid as soon as the work is done. We also noticed in his office a plot of grounds, showing the various avenues and walks and the number and size of every lot. According to this plot, there are one hundred and ninety four family lots, all of good size, and public ground sufficient for over four hundred graves.

The attention of members is called to this plot and, should it meet general approval, the ground will be staked off in accordance with it, the lots appraised, and then disposed of in a manner provided for in the by-laws. The advertisement for proposals for building the fence, will be found in another column.
