Next Wednesday the 30th instant, Gen. S. Evans Post and Corp.
will meet in Odd Fellows Hall at 1:30. The procession will be lead by Redwood City Band and the Juvenile Flute Band
will lead that part of it in which children are placed and the whole will march from the town to the Cemetery.
The exercises will consist of an oration by Mr. T.G. Phelps, prayer by Rev. J.H. Scott and singing by the Women's Relief
Corps, after which the graves of the deceased veterans will be strewn with flowers. It is hoped that the merchants of
the town will close their places of business and thereby assist in the proper observance of the day. Flowers are
solicited from all who have gardens‹and those wishing to contribute are requested to leave them at Mr. Glennan's
harness shop in the morning between the hours of 8 and 12. After the exercises the ladies of the Corps will
entertain the members of the Post and their wives at their hall in the Odd Fellow's building.
